Celeste Thorson is a young film and television writer, producer, director and actress. As an indie filmmaker she recently wrote and directed 7 episodes of an original sitcom titled Yogaphiles, premiering spring 2012. She is best known for her starring role in two seasons of the tv series Destination X and comedic roles on hit shows like How I Met Your Mother and Jimmy Kimmel Live. As an action heroine in Destination X Hawaii and California, Celeste filmed her own stunts like sky diving, rappelling off cliffs, scuba diving, mountain biking, flying fighter jets, and swimming with sharks. The show airs to hundreds of millions of viewers in over 65 countries around the world. Thorson has also written 24 episodes of television for shows like Josh and JB in the Industry and Destination X. In 2011 Celeste completed Hit Girls a short film she wrote, produced, and directed.
Celeste Thorson is an award winning model with billboards, editorial, and fashion campaigns stretching from Latin America to Asia for clients like Reebok, Paul Mitchell, Body Glove, Yoplait, Sprint, Nokia, Samsung, and Toms Shoes. Celeste Thorson’s exotic multi-ethnic appeal is attributed to her diverse heritage; Korean, Irish, Lebanese, Spanish, and American Indian. She was born in Orange County, California and grew up in Southern California, New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico. During her early teens she traveled to San Miguel de Allende Mexico where she studied at the historic Instituto Allende, a classical art academy. An artist of many mediums she has studied painting, sculpting, bronze casting, jewelry making and performing arts.
At the age of 17, Thorson moved back to the US and settled in Los Angeles where she pursued political activism. She is notorious for her commitment to human and environmental rights and has worked with non-profits like Save the Children, The Sierra Club, Calpirg, and HRC. Celeste is passionate about travel, outdoor sports, art, music and equal rights.
